As the clock wound down, a major piece of solar legislation fell victim to a few members who decided to stand up for big government and failed power industry policies, resulting in continued high and volatile power bills for Texans.

Great Park Lands Two Vintage Aircraft
an N3N-3 Canary and an SNJ-5. The N3N-3 Canary is a 1942 World War II biplane used by the Navy and the Marine Corps to train pilots. The SNJ-5 is a 1944 World War II aircraft used to train fighter pilots for the Navy, Army Air Corps and the Royal Air Force. Both aircraft are in good condition and maintain their airworthiness.

Dobie Does it Again! The Dobie Center was voted the UTmost Off-Campus Residence Hall in the Daily Texan's spring 2009 UTmost survey. Every year the University of Texas student newspaper conducts an online survey with over 2,000 students asking them to vote on their favorite places in Austin. The results are now in for spring 2009 and Dobie has topped the list once again.
